Like Hell
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11
I've read this verse many many times, but this time, something caught my eye. The words "every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth" In that place of eternal fire, when the name Jesus Christ is heard, the occupants will not be able to keep their dry, cracked, and bleeding knees from hitting the hot coal covered ground. And with their dry, swollen, parched tongues that long for even a drip of water, they will form the words, and in a raspy voice they will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And will they look up to heaven - soot covering their heat blistered faces - and see you looking down on them? And will they wonder why you never told them about this? Will they cry out with their scratchy voices, "How could you let this happen to me?"
God so loved this world. That He gave.
____ so loved this world. That he/she gave.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
