Say What?
If you knew that your office mate was just around the corner, would you say those things about him?
If you thought your mother would find out, would you still have done it?
If she were standing right in front of you, would you still make that face at her?
If the people in the other cars could hear you, would you still scream those things at them?
Would you have told your best friend that you were mad at her if you knew she was going to find out about it from someone else?
If you knew how closely your son was watching you, would you have used a different tone with the person behind the counter?
If your wife was in the room, would you have left the TV on that channel?
If you knew that everyone in the room disagreed with you, would you still stand up for your political views?
What would your husband think of the e-mail that you wrote to your male ministry partner?
If you had known that your integrity was on the line, would you have weighed the "little white lie" more heavily?
If they could hear you, would you still say those things under your breath?
If you knew how badly your brother would be punished, would you have told on him?
If you believed - truly believed that God were real, and that He was listening to you, would you speak to Him (or about Him) the way you do?
Luke 12
2There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
